Vobra since 1932

Vobra Special Petfoods is THE partner for private label dog and cat food. We don’t say that lightly: Vobra has 90 years of experience in pet nutrition, of which more than half a century in dog and cat food. All this time we have continued to innovate and improve. This has resulted in our own successful brands CaroCroc, CASA-FERA, SANIMED and Impress Your Dog. We can therefore say that we know the animal, the sector and the product inside out.

It’s the combination of experience, knowledge and innovative strength that makes us unique. We therefore prefer to call ourselves ‘partner’ rather than ‘producer’ or ‘supplier’. Because we do much more than just create and supply. If you want, we guide you from idea to market introduction. We offer you peace of mind in a competitive market where product, price and presentation must be skillfully balanced. In short: if you choose Vobra, you choose a chunk of expertise.

A look behind the scenes at Vobra

In our Dutch factory in Veghel we produce 180.000 kilos of dog and cat kibbles every day for our own brands and many satisfied private label customers. We produce both pressed and extruded kibbles. Our research and quality control department are also located here. This way we have good control over the quality of our raw materials and end products.

Our process

A family business with 90 years of history

Vobra founder Piet van Krieken registered with the Chamber of Commerce as early as 1932. In the 1950s he was one of the first to use scientific knowledge to improve his product. This enabled him to adapt his animal feed to the animal’s dietary and energy needs. Since then, the company has grown enormously, but Van Krieken’s wisdom still forms the basis of our philosophy. Building on our long tradition, and using the latest scientific insights, we are constantly working to provide the best pet food at a fair price.

Vobra Worldwide

Vobra Special Petfoods is now active in more than 35 different countries. This is achieved with the export of our own brands, but also through our private label customers.

Sustainability

As a producer of high-quality dog and cat food, Vobra Special Petfoods feels responsible to take steps towards climate-neutral business. For example, during the production process, condensation water and cooling air are already reused. The extruder and press are fitted with energy-efficient motors. For our own brands we are currently investigating how we can make the packaging sustainable and recyclable. In addition, the fleet consists of several electric cars and there are more than 1,000 solar panels on the roof. In this way, Vobra also wants to do its part for a bright future!

Feed Design Lab

At Vobra Special Petfoods we cherish our history, while continuing to work towards a better future. Innovation is in our blood. That’s why we are a partner in the Feed Design Lab: the research and education center for innovation and sustainability in the pet food industry. In this international, open innovation network we work together on a sustainable animal production chain.

GMP+

The GMP+ certificate guarantees feed safety. Our quality system ensures that risks are secured and dangers for the consumer are prevented.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard in the field of quality management. Vobra’s quality management system meets the guidelines that a good quality management system must meet.

non-GMO

The non-GMO certificate demonstrates that our product does not contain genetically modified organisms. This is also a guarantee that our products comply with the relevant legal requirements.
